DR IMRAN H KHAN SUDDAHAZAI

Chairman

Appointed

Imran was appointed to the role of Chair and CEO of Sudhan Welfare Society (SWS) at its initial inception in April 2020.
Experience

Imran has been involved in a number of community-based initiatives prior to starting SWS. In the past, Imran has been an active and instrumental member of the local masjid committees, cultural groups, sports and recreational bodies and societies across the UK, USA and in his native Azad Kashmir.  He is an educator by profession and has developed programmes and lectures for UK based higher education institutions on educational issues in human development, human rights, societal welfare and sustainability.
Interests

Imran is married with two children and enjoys travelling, playing sports and his mountain bike.

SEMEENA KHAN

Vice Chair

Appointed
Semeena was appointed as Vice Chair of Sudhan Welfare Society in April 2020, she also serves as a Director and Founder of SWS.
Experience 
Semeena specialises in Marketing, Fundraising and International Development. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the third sector, having worked ten years in the field regionally as well as nationally and internationally.
Interests
Semeena spent the early years of her life in the US before moving to the UK in her teens. She is a qualified Run Coach with England Athletics and is passionate about challenging stereotypes within the South Asian community. She utilises her training and qualifications to encourage women from BAME backgrounds to feel confident and comfortable about health and exercise which led her to start her own training boot camp.

Semeena also volunteers for Crawley Run Crew as a Run Coach and 0-5k Coordinator, loves travelling, running and organising community events.

WAQAS HAFIZ

Treasurer

Appointed
Waqas was appointed as Treasurer of Sudhan Welfare Society in April 2020, he also serves as a Director and Founder of SWS.
Experience
Waqas is a Security Consultant working in Information Security. He has been actively involved with a number of charity organisations for many years.  He is excited to be a member of the Sudhan Welfare Society. 
For the past five years Waqas has been in the Commodities sector at the London Metal Exchange (LME). He has headed a number of strategic projects and security roles. Prior to the position at LME he headed projects at in major Financial organisations such as Barclays.
Interest
Waqas is an avid cricket player, enjoys cycling, travelling and devoting time to his two children in encouraging them to also become aware of issues impacting their communities, in order that they can develop the mind set of empathy and support towards others as they grow older.

RIFAT KHAN

Advisor

Appointed
Rifat was appointed as Advisor of Sudhan Welfare Society in April 2020, she also serves as a Director and Founder of SWS.
Experience
Rifat is a qualified Social Worker with over twenty years’ experience of working within Adult Services. She is passionate about her career and finds it to be rewarding and insightful.
Interest
Rifat has a love for the outdoors and can often be seen walking and running to elevate her mental health and reduce stress levels.
Rifat’s moto in life is to love yourself, be patient with your parents, support your family, love and guide your children and respect everyone with whom you come into contact.

PARVEEN KHAN

Secretary

Appointed
Parveen was appointed as Secretary of Sudhan Welfare Society in April 2020, she also serves as a Director and Founder of SWS.
Experience
Parveen spent the early years of her life in Azad Kashmir before moving the UK. She comes with a wide range of skills in many sectors including Retail, Media, Education and the Charity Sector.
Parveen is part of numerous groups including Diverse Crawley, Creative Crawley, Crawley Writers Circle, Crawley Museum and Library.
Parveen undertakes community activities in West Sussex such as drugs awareness presentations at local places of worship, youth centres and gatherings.
Interests
Parveen is an active member of the Free Kashmir movement. She organises events and feels passionate about justice, human rights and for people of any nation to have the right to democracy.
Parveen loves travelling, having spent a year living and working abroad in destinations such as Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia. She has also published her own short stories and poems.
